Annemiek's owls are made entirely out of paper from different magazines. Each paper feather is torn by hand. Using a collage technique, the owl is created on linen canvas.

Her owls are not only impressive from a distance, but as you get closer you'll discover words, parts of sentences, patterns and colors hiding in the paper feathers. Because the feathers are not all the way glued down there is a 3D effect.
